Serious Time in the 5th Annual Joe Hachem and Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament

• Level 17: 5,000-10,000, 1,000 ante

The 5th Annual Joe Hachem and Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament is still taking place three floors above this event. We recently trekked up there and discovered that the rebuy period in the tournament is over, meaning if a player busts, they are gone for good. With a World Series of Poker package and Aussie Millions seats up for grabs, it's no surprise to see the remaining players buckle down and play hard.

Some players who're still in contention are Maria Ho, David Gorr, Tiffany Michelle, Tony Hachem, Annette Obrestad, Clonie Gowen, and Tatjana Pasalic. A couple of players who're not so fortunate are Tony G and Patrik Antonius, both of whom have been eliminated from the tournament.

Another player who hit the rail was poker media guru and Twitter legend, Kevin "Kevmath" Mathers, who was kind enough to relate his bust-out hand. It happened during the 200/400 level when Kevmath called a raise to 1,000 with {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The flop brought both a {K-} and a {10-}, which saw Kevmath call another 1,000 bet. When the turn came {6-}, Kevmath's opponent moved all in and he called off with two pair. Unfortunately the bettor held pocket tens for a set and Kevmath couldn't catch on the river.

More updates from the 5th Annual Joe Hachem and Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament to come!
