Back We Go

[user46392] • Level 31: 80,000-160,000, 20,000 ante

Our heads-uponauts are full of sushi and back at the table.

Let battle commence!

Stop! Dinner Time

There will now be a 60 minute recess for dinner before what we predict will be a very exciting heads up battle. We understand that our two remaining players have gone for sushi together. That's the kind of camaraderie we have here at the EPT.

Vadzim Kursevich Eliminated in 3rd Place (€300,000)

• Level 31: 80,000-160,000, 20,000 ante
Vadzim Kursevich
Vadzim Kursevich

What a flop for perma-leader Ben Wilinofsky. It's given him an even more enormous stack and sent Vadzim Kursevich to the rail in a matter of seconds. Wilinofsky had called Kursevich's raise out of position (375,000) and checked the {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{K-Spades} flop.

Kursevich bet 450,000 and Wilinovsky check-raised to 1,125,000. Kursevich re-checked his cards and the drawy board and decided to jam - he was called as soon as his chips started moving.

Kursevich showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for the tptk which was to prove fatal as Wilinovsky showed {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the flopped straight. The turn and river {6-Spades}{A-Clubs} changed nothing and we are heads up playing for the title!

Wilinofsky Starts the Climb Back Up to the Teen Millions

• Level 31: 80,000-160,000, 20,000 ante

Ben Wilinofsky occasionally gets a dent in his stack, such as that which represents Kursevich's double through. But each time he seems to come back, and build ever higher. Just now he received a call for his 320,000 raise from small blind Max Heinzelmann, who checked the {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop. Wilinofsky checked behind, calling when Heinzelmann had a go betting 255,000 on the {K-Hearts} turn. Both players checked the {2-Clubs} river and Wilinofsky's {9-Hearts} won him the pot (Heinzelmann showing {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}).

The Plan

[user46392] • Level 31: 80,000-160,000, 20,000 ante

By the by, there's no break now. Instead, everyone will be taking a 60 minute mid-level dinner break at exactly 7 o'clock, in around half an hour.

Kursevich Takes Another Chunk From Wilinofsky

Vadzim Kursevich doubles through Ben Wilinofsky
Vadzim Kursevich doubles through Ben Wilinofsky

A full double up for the short stack three-handed brings the last players closer together than they have been all day, as the 60k/120k level draws to a close.

Vadzim Kursevich simply shoved first to act on the button for 2,545,000. Small blind Ben Wilinofsky used up his timebank for the first time today, taking off his sunglasses and doing some blinking and thinking. He came down on the side of 'yes' and re-raised to get it heads up with Kursevich. Both Wilinofsky and Heinzelmann stood up in anticipation of a potentially huge pot.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} doubling Kursevich back into the game with 5,000,000.
