We reached the table on the river, and the board read . Jason Mercier checked, and Peter Jetten went deep into the tank before betting 8,000. Mercier check-raised to a hefty 27,600, and Jetten went into the tank.
For a very, very, very long time.
Over five minutes after Mercier's check-raise, Jetten made the call. "Two pair," Mercier said.
Jetten turned over for a flush, and raked in the pot.
"I thought you were gonna check-raise," Jetten said after the hand. He went on to explain that he was second-guessing himself, and that's why it took so long for him to call.
Mercier was set to be the big blind the next hand, but he was moved to another table to balance the field.
