Duhamel Beats Up on Katchalov

Jonathan Duhamel

From under the gun, Team PokerStars Pro and 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel raised to 1,300. Fellow Team Pro and 2011 WSOP gold bracelet winner Eugene Katchalov three-bet from under the gun plus one. From there, play folded back around the table to Duhamel and he made the call.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Duhamel checked to his opponent. Katchalov fired a bet of 2,500, but Duhamel wanted to play for more and check-raised to 7,700. Katchalov made the call.

Fourth street was the {7-Clubs} and Duhamel bet 13,700. After a minute, Katchalov called and off to the river they went.

The river card was the {K-Hearts} and Duhamel bet 28,400. Katchalov tanked and tanked, spending a couple minutes in deep thought. Eventually, he tossed out six blue T,5000 chips to make the call. When he did, Duhamel tabled the {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for a turned gutterball after flopping a nice combo draw. Katchalov sent his hand to the muck and Duhamel was pushed the pot.
